Bishop Gregory to Preside at SGA GMC Annual Conference
We are very excited to have Bishop Leah Gregory presiding at the South Georgia Annual Conference session July 10th - 12th at Epworth by the Sea.
Bishop Leah Hidde-Gregory provides episcopal leadership in the Global Methodist Church. She is assigned to the annual conferences in the Northeast, South Georgia, Bulgaria, and the now emerging conference in Mexico. In addition to her role as Bishop, Bishop Gregory serves as the Conference Superintendent of the MidTexas Conference. Working with a leadership team, she was instrumental in the start-up and development of the MidTexas Conference.
Prior to joining the Global Methodist Church, Leah served as a laywoman in the Oklahoma Conference and as a pastor in the North Texas and Central Texas Conferences of the UMC, as well as a District Superintendent for six years and Director of New Church Start and Church Growth in the CTC. She was a member of the Transitional Leadership Council for the entirety of the transitional time of the denomination. She served as a chair for a season.
Leah has a heart and passion for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ across the globe. She has spent much of her ministry in church revitalization, revival and church growth. She is excited about the Global Methodist Church and the orthodox Wesleyan witnesses which is being awakened within our congregations.
She holds a Doctorate in Ministry in Church Leadership Excellence from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.; a Masters of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology; and a Bachelors in Psychology and Sociology from Texas A&M Commerce. She is married to the love of her life, Stan. They have two Grown daughters and son-in laws, and a son, Will who is still at home.
