What are your experiences and areas of service that you believe will be valuable in your role as a General Conference delegate?

I have served on many conferences boards. Also I had the privilege to serve on a South East jurisdiction committee and a a General board while in the UMC. In 2019 I worked as a marshal at the special called general conference.

I have good leadership and organizational skills and I always give 100% to any committee or board I serve on.

I am a good listener and always like to prayfuly consider ideas.

During my 23 years as a pastor in the UMC I have served a number of different size churches in both rural and suburb settings. From this experience I understand that many diverse backgrounds and ideas must be considered when developing policies and procedures.

Describe why you believe that God has potentially called you to serve as a General Conference delegate.

I have felt from the beginning of my ministry that God called me not only to pastoral ministry in the local church but also beyond it. Through mission trips, mentoring up and coming pastors, and serving on committees. Finally since the forming of the GMC I have felt that God was calling me to be part of the General conference and offer my time and talents to help the GMC continue to grow and become all that God is ordaining it to be.

I would be humbled and honored to serve the people of the GMC as a delegate to General conference.
