What are your experiences and areas of service that you believe will be valuable in your role as a General Conference delegate?

I have been in active ministry for 29 years. As a United Methodist, I served on the Conference Board of Ordained Ministry, District Committees on Ordained Ministry, the Leadership Forum, and was chair of the Conference Witness Team. I am currently serving as a Connectional Community Presiding Elder in the Global Methodist Church. Ministry experience has included youth ministry, campus ministry and as a Sr Pastor to small and medium size congregations.

Describe why you believe that God has potentially called you to serve as a General Conference delegate.

What I feel is a desire to not only be a part of this historic event, but to help shape the work of the Church and use the wisdom of 29 years of ministry to help move the GMC forward into God's desired future. All of us are called to be servants of God through the ministry of the Church. As the GMC steps out from infancy into its formative stage, it must hold fast to "the doctrine, spirit and discipline with which it first set out." Firm, and loving voices must be heard in order to not repeat mistakes of the past. I believe God has given me one of those voices to be bold enough to say what needs to be said, to ask questions when necessary, and to love through it all.
