What are your experiences and areas of service that you believe will be valuable in your role as a General Conference delegate?

I have served in the local church for 19 1/2 years. I successfully helped to lead our church through disaffiliation. I served on the planning team for our first SGA GMC annual conference and am serving currently to plan our 2nd. Before disaffiliation, I served on the Conference and District Boards of Ordained Ministry. I am currently a member of a group of GMC pastors from all over the U.S., and I believe this gives me insight on the ministry needs across the denomination.

Describe why you believe that God has potentially called you to serve as a General Conference delegate.

With almost 20 years of pastoral ministry, I have a heart for the local church. I have a desire to make disciples who make disciples. I want to help keep the focus of the General Church on disciple making and ultimately on local congregations. I think this is helped by making sure the denomination is kept lean, and local resources are used for missions and ministries decided by each individual church. If chosen, it would be an honor to represent the South Georgia Annual Conference as a delegate.
